About Me

Translation has always been around me growing up as a bilingual kid. At home we spoke Catalan, with the exception of my two little siblings who always spoke Spanish. That’s how my interest in translation started, switching from one language to another at the dinner table.

I finished my bachelor degree in Translation and Interlinguistic mediation in May of 2018, and in June of the same year I moved to the Netherlands with my Dutch boyfriend. Soon after that, I started working as an in-house Spanish translator for a publishing company in Amsterdam. Currently combining my work as a freelance translator with my work as a project manager for the Language Centre.

After almost 4 years of experience, I believe that understanding the context and complexity of another language (and most importantly, your own) is what makes a good translator. Translators are more than walking dictionaries—we’re bridges between cultures.
